Here’s what we’ve been working on:


Last week:

Cudos Network

  • The team have completed the research on IBC module production readiness
    • In short: Considering upgrade to v2 of the module. To upgrade to IBC-GO v2, we need to upgrade it in the Gravity Bridge module and fork the cosm-wasm module.
  • We have investigated the jailing of certain validators during the last network upgrade.
    • In short: The problem occurred due to missing gravity’s parameters in the genesis.json
  • We completed extensive research and design on the NFT bridge
  • The team have updated the Cudos Nodes documentation. It now includes a description of what ports must be open on nodes for them to function properly.
  • We have tested (dry run test) the upgrade of a local network.
  • The team have researched the upgrade procedures of other networks, as well as the cosmos upgrade module. 
  • Work on the CGO bindings to allow smart contract interfaces with the new NFT module will continue for the current week.


Ethereum to CUDOS migration

  • After several improvements, we have completed the Address Mapping UI, which will be available to the public very soon. 
  • We will move the address mapping contract forward after the final PR review.
  • Locked message has been added to the Staking page to appear during the migration process.



  • We have refactored the node to: 
    • Start with a fresh instance when restarted
    • Add accounts in its docker instance instead of on the local machine
  • The team have prepared “next step” refactoring tasks to improve current implementations. We have added these to the current sprint.



  • We have made wording improvements on the Staking UI.


This week:


Cudos Network

  • We will be working on Gravity Bridge changes and accommodations to patch any security/stability concerns.
  • We will be finalising the IBC module implementation for cross-chain Cosmos bridging.
  • We will be clarifying open questions around tokenomics and vesting.
  • We will be conducting CosmWasm tests for Cosmos SDK v0.44.



  • We will carry out the completion of CGO bindings.


Ethereum to CUDOS migration

  • We will carry out the final code review of the Mapping Contract and send it for a third-party security audit. 



  • We will complete refactoring tasks to continue with new implementations.
