Cudos hits the red carpet- Slammer preview screening
September 17, 2021On the 10th of September 2021, our team joined a red carpet event at the Odeon Luxe, Leicester Square, for a special preview screening of the Cudos-sponsored UK sci-fi thriller Slammer. Our team and the other attendees were greeted by Odeon staff sporting white lab coats alongside a display of costumes and props from the film. This gave us an exciting hint of what was to come.

September 16, 2021Here’s what we’ve been working on over the last 2 weeks.
We created a validators configuration document
We created a mapping utility for the Ethereum to Cudos Network migration
We had to postpone our Ethermint research and testing because the Cosmos IBC relay is currently not supporting it.
We worked hard on ensuring a Tendermint network can be upgraded once deployed:
Ensuring the chain can keep processing as nodes upgrade to new software.
Ensuring that no state is lost or amended during an upgrade.

We found and fixed an issue with the Gravity bridge startup procedure
We redeployed the public-testnet orchestrator.
We worked on describing and deciding on the network gas configuration.
We were defining server requirements.
We worked on ensuring we could upgrade the whole Cudos Network once deployed.
We added support for automatic batch creation based on a set of parameters.
We mapped a smart contract code review.
We worked on UX/UI requirements preparation for the Migration UI.

Cudos Labs: Limechain development update! (02/09/2021)
September 2, 2021Here’s what we’ve been working on over the last two weeks.
We completed the Cosmos SDK upgrade to v0.43. Here are some details:
All tokens can safely be staked without worrying about MaxVotingPower. 1 CUDOS = 1 Voting Power.
We migrated the Wasm module from the original GitHub one to provenance to support SDK 0.43.
We migrated the Gravity bridge to a new SDK. We are waiting for official support.
We upgraded our custom modules to support SDK 0.43.

Cudos Labs: Testnet Development Update! (26/08/2021)
August 26, 2021Last week:
We continued testing and researching the migration of the existing Validators and Delegators to the main-chain.
We added support for X <-> Y decimal digit token transfer in the Gravity bridge. (Note: We’ve briefly paused this due to the Cosmos software development kit (SDK) update as decimal reduction might no longer be required.)
We fixed the batches’ timeout calculation.
We calculated AverageBlockTime instead of using it from a parameter.
We started the update of the explorer libraries. (Note: This update will solve issues with the precision and visualisation of numbers in the Explorer.)

Cudos Labs: Cognitum Testnet Update! (13/08/2021)
August 13, 2021Progress since last week:
The staking platform was officially released in the Ethereum mainnet.
Validator names were added in the staking UI. The update also includes the support of emojis, which are being used to add country flags next to the names.
Tooltips were fixed and updated across the staking platform.
We added profiles to Rinkeby and Mainnet.

Cudos facilitates a more decentralised and competitive cloud market
August 11, 2021Almost ⅔ of all cloud infrastructure comes from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, or Google. This high concentration could mean that competition within the marketplace is decreasing. Decreasing competition can be problematic for many reasons. Cudos’ decentralised cloud network can help overcome these issues.
